I am writing to let you know how WONDERFUL the Staff at Verona & Montclair Animal hospital are.
Dr. Scriff and his crew saved my dogs life, LITERALLY! The facility is 5 star and I feel like I have known the staff FOREVER! Much thanks and appreciation goes to the staff and Dr. Scriff for going above and beyond. We most certainly wont be going anywhere else for our canine needs. This Animal hospital is the BEST!
Our dog Armani, a 4 year old Golden Retriever, went in due to a little cough. However, Dr. Scriff decided to do a little extra testing and we discovered that Armani was internally bleeding. They did emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and discovered tumors. If Armani didn’t go into the office and Dr. Scriff didn’t ask for other tests, He would have died that night INSTEAD of being HOME WITH US NOW, WHERE HE BELONGS.
A hundred times, Thank You to the Dr.’s and Staff there at the VAHMAH!
I am writing to let everyone know how Dr Scriff saved my dogs life! Charlie is a 5 year old golden doodle who i brought in for a routine dental cleaning. Prior to the procedure, it was advised that charlie have a “wellness” screening. This involves more advanced blood work and a splenic scan. I declined at the time and left. About an hour later, I received a call from Dr Scriff asking me for permission to perhaps just do the scan as Charlie is a large dog who is part Golden, with tendencies toward tumors/cancers that other breeds and smaller dogs don’t get as frequently. I agreed and as fate would have it, Charlie had a large tumor in his spleen. The tumor has since been removed along with his spleen..the tumor was fortunately benign although the pathologist confirmed that without the splenectomy his spleen would likely have ruptured and he might have bled to death! This is not as uncommon as you might think. We are so thankful for our Veterinarians great advice. Because of Dr Scriff, my dog is on his way to a complete recovery. We are SO lucky!!!
We recently had the pleasure of adopting a rescued Russian Blue cat named Rocky (although Verona Animal Hospital knows him as Blue). They informed us that he had been badly mauled by another animal when he was brought in, and they performed major surgery, including skin graphs to save his life. Well, there is no way you can tell this wonderful little ball of love had ever had as much a hair pulled from his body. He has quickly made himself at home, and seems to never stop purring and asking for love. We love him to pieces, and thank Dr. Scriffignano and team for their wonderful efforts to rescue this magnificent cat and give him another chance. He is going to have a long happy life!
