I want to personally welcome you to the Verona & Montclair Animal Hospitals website. We created this interactive site to let you know about the many services we have to offer you and your pet, to give you an idea about who we are, and to invite you to become part of our pet-caring community. We want this to be your trusted “go-to site” for accurate, timely information on issues that are important to your pet’s care.
The veterinarians and staff members at Verona & Montclair Animal Hospitals are pet people; owners who consider their pets cherished family members. We want the best for our pets as we know you do for yours, so we treat each pet as if he or she were our own. We have the technology and skills you’d typically find only in large referral hospitals or veterinary schools, but with the benefit of truly personalized service from our close-knit team.
“We always do what is best for the pets;” that is the unwavering policy at my hospital and the core philosophy under which each doctor and staff member operates. Every decision made, every action taken is based on our complete commitment to this premise. The veterinarians at Verona Animal Hospital are all members of our local, state, and national veterinary associations, and regularly attend conferences and educational programs sponsored by these affiliations. Additionally, I require that my doctors remain active in continuing education by taking yearly courses that often include extended training at veterinary schools throughout the country.
Wellness Care is an integral part of our healthcare philosophy. It is a proactive approach to caring for your pet where prevention and early diagnosis of health issues result in a longer, healthier life for your pet. You can read more about Wellness Care on this site under Our Services.
In our site, our veterinarians have the opportunity to share the latest information about treatment options and surgical procedures for your pet, along with helpful advice on pertinent topics regarding your pet’s health. We’ll also be answering questions that we get from you through our site as well as those we hear during office visits. We’ll update this section frequently, so be sure to check in regularly.
Providing for the care and well-being of animals has always been important to me. It’s the reason I became a veterinarian and the inspiration for me to do whatever I can to help all animals – regardless of whether or not it’s someone’s treasured pet or a homeless animal brought into my hospital by a Good Samaritan. A particularly rewarding part of my practice includes working with the many wonderful animal welfare groups we have in our community including Angels of Animals (AOA). You’ll find detailed information about this caring group under the Our Community segment in this site and under Testimonials.
Throughout my career, I have assisted many of the local shelters including PAWS, Bloomfield Animal Shelter, Friends of Wayne Animal Shelter, and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. In addition, I’m pleased to have been one of the co-founders of the PAWS’ low-cost spay program that pre-dated the state’s current spay program. You’ll find more about our volunteer and community service efforts under Our Community, and when you’re there, be sure to upload a favorite picture of your pet for our Gallery.
