Dr. Rebecca Stock was raised on a small farm in rural upstate New York. Her love for animals was cultivated by this experience, which lead her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She received a BS in biomedical engineering at the University of Rochester in upstate New York before going on to veterinary school. Dr. Stock graduated veterinary school at Iowa State University with honors in 2011. She also completed a small animal internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey.
In veterinary practice, Dr. Stock particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery. Surgery is made safer and pets have a quicker recovery using a variety of specialized equipment, such as laser and laparoscopy, which Verona and Montclair are fortunate to have.
Dr. Stock and her husband, Rishi, live on a small farm with their three dogs, Tucker, Stella, and Howie, two cats, Callie and Quasar, and fourteen chickens. Dr. Stock enjoys training and competing in canine sports, including obedience, agility, and dock diving. In her spare time, Dr. Stock enjoys hiking, Dressage, skiing (both cross country and downhill), kayaking, cooking, baking, and running.
